How... We Plan

Think about driftwood for a moment.
Some people see it as debris washed up on the shore, while other see what it can be. This is the way we approach financial planning.
Some planners see assets as a pile of driftwood and their role is to clean it up. We, on the other hand, see it as the potential of what it can be.
Life changes, just as a person's taste in art changes, and/or they want to increase or decrease the size and value of their collection. This is how we approach your financial and retirement planning.
When you engage us to guide, support and assist you in your wealth planning, we view it similar to how an art lover or collector commissions a painting. Financial planning, as with art, is subjective. You communicate to us what you envision and what you desire, and we design it specifically for you. None of our plans are the same. We ensure that each plan is personalized for your life, your goals and your ever-changing situation. Our role is to capture and understand your goals and objectives, blend it with our unique perspective, experience and specialized expertise to help you paint a financial picture that is right for you.
Anyone can paint by numbers. Fill your numbers into a planning software program, and out spits a “canned plan”. However, when you create an original work of art (metaphorically speaking) it is customized for you. Much like an artist with a blank canvas, we begin with no perceived notions. From there, we apply three things:
- Strong experience and expertise
- A host of great resources and ideas
- All the tools we need, and more importantly the knowledge of how to use them
The important point is we paint you a picture so you can clearly see where you are going, and how we plan to help you get there. As with any great painting there are three main steps to the process:
- You start with a base (getting to know you, your finances and your goals)
- You outline the concept (understand risk tolerances, life circumstances, etc.)
- Fill in the details (create your personalized plan, and monitor it regularly to ensure it continues to meet your ever-changing goals for the remainder of your life)
